IX. Zinzendorf's Last Years

X. Recovery through     zinzendorf

Introduction

His burden was to reach the Indians, to work toward Christian oneness, and to bring the brothers and sisters together to have the church life.

We have seen that as a result of the mounting oppositions, Zinzendorf was forced to leave Herrnhut, but he took this as something from the hand of the Lord. During this time he established a settlement similar to Herrnhut, met people in different parts of Europe, and eventually went to the Americas. In America he laid down his title and honors – everything that he had by birth or human acclaim. He no longer wanted to be called Count Zinzendorf, but simply Brother Ludwig. His burden was to reach the Indians, to work toward Christian oneness, and to bring the brothers and sisters together to have the church life.
